Does food control your life?
If you suffer from Binge-Eating Disorder, you are familiar with the lack of control you feel from the overwhelming urge to eat foods you try so hard to avoid. As you give in to your craving, a sense of guilt and shame rushes over you, followed by a defeating depression which shoves you deeper into the dark cycle you wish could be broken. You binge because you’re unhappy and you’re unhappy because you binge. You ask yourself why you can’t control your eating and you become jealous of those who can make it through the day without obsessing over food.
But you don’t have to confront the powerful demon of Binge-Eating Disorder on your own. If your friends and family just don’t seem to understand your struggle, and weekly appointments with a mental health counselor still leave you feeling lost and hopeless, Grace Counseling Center can guide you in securing a healthy relationship with food.
Binge-Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program
The Binge-Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program at Grace Counseling Center is ideal for those seeking the tools for long-term recovery. Our mission is to enable you to discover your strengths, leading to a happier and healthier lifestyle. We guide our patients in the acceptance of the past, the power of the present moment, and a solid commitment to a promising future. By utilizing evidence based therapeutic approaches, our Licensed Professional Counselors and Masters Level Clinicians will provide you with healthy, adaptive coping skills as you work together to target the root cause of your symptoms. You will learn to utilize these valuable tools outside of the protective counseling walls, enabling you to create peace and stability in your daily life.
Consisting of group sessions, individual/conjoint sessions, and weekly consultations with a Registered Dietician, our Intensive Outpatient Program strives to address every aspect of your Binge-Eating Disorder. In an attempt to accommodate your own scheduling needs, we offer both morning and evening group sessions. These groups will introduce you to a supportive environment centered around trust and acceptance while encouraging compassionate feedback and insight from all program participants. While this group setting demonstrates the invaluable importance of peer support, additional individual/conjoint counseling sessions provide you with the confidential guidance of your carefully assigned individual counselor. Together, you and your counselor will create, modify, and assess the progress of goals which you aspire to achieve through discovering your hidden strengths and re-examining your self-reported limitations.
