Cheryl Rayl, LPC-S, MAC has been in the behavioral health field for over 25 years. She has experience working with struggling adolescents and elderly clients, professionally trained to treat individuals suffering from debilitating mental health disorders while also providing care to those battling the disease of addiction. Cheryl has counseled clients in various settings, treating individuals, couples and families, and facilitating a myriad of group therapy sessions focused on numerous psychological issues. She is also meets the qualifications for Substance Abuse Professionals according to DOT regulations and is an approved evaluator for the Professional Recovery Network, Cheryl has a passion for helping others, and this passion carries over into her role as Counselor Supervisor. Dedicated to helping new counselors navigate their way through the unfamiliar world of mental health, Cheryl guides these trailblazing professionals down their own unique paths, enabling them to find their niche and develop the skills needed to help transform minds and heal hearts. Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2006 from The University of Texas in Arlington. Determined to continue her journey down the mental health path, Jamie received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in 2012. Discovering her niche, she completed her Master’s thesis on the relationship between Depression, Resilience, and Coping Strategies. Jamie integrates many theories into her treatment with emphases on cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and person-centered approaches. Combining different approaches allows Jamie to utilize various therapeutic techniques based upon the unique needs of each client. Jamie focuses on clients’ strengths in order to facilitate the development of every individual's full potential. Jamie strives to empower her clients in reaching their goals and living more purposeful lives. Guiding her clients with unconditional support, Jamie provides individuals with the tools needed to find meaning in their suffering, allowing them to break free from their self-made prisons and explore alternative and adaptive perspectives when examining their problems. He utilizes this integrative approach in order to help clients target traumatic issues from the past which contribute to today's daily struggles. She has eleven years of experience in education and school counseling, she has experience working with young children and struggling adolescents. She is trained to treat individuals suffering from mental health disorders. Sofia integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches as well as Person-Centered in her therapy. She believes that everyone has the necessary tools to be at peace, but some need help accessing them. Her job is to help them in this process through unconditional positive regard.

His Bachelor’s Degree was achieved at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. David has been in private practice for more than ten years. Prior to joining the team at Grace he worked in vocational rehabilitation counseling, addictions counseling, and individual counseling in community mental health. To achieve the best results for clients, David primarily utilizes a Client Centered Theoretical Orientation and integrates methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamics, Interpersonal and Positive Psychology depending on the therapeutic needs of each individual. He has a general practice with most of his experience being in couples counseling, personal adjustment to work and family relations, substance abuse, and treatment of mood disorders. David works with clients as young as 12 up to and including the geriatric population.

Cyndee received her Master’s Degree from United States International University in Irvine, California. While in California she also worked for 4 years at the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center where she treated children and adults who had been molested as children. Cyndee has been providing therapy to individuals, groups, couples and families for the past 25 years. She has specialized in the area of trauma, anxiety and depression as well as treating families of and individuals who suffer from addictions. She works with women experiencing difficult life transitions and counsels young children using Play Therapy. Cyndee is additionally certified to use EMDR. Cyndee loves assisting those who want to live their best life possible. She works by encouraging each individual to discover his or her hidden strengths and assists clients in build a better life from there. She encourages her clients to build self-esteem, confidence, and competence in dealing with daily stressors. Cyndee appreciates the apprehension which goes along with deciding to seek help through counseling, and strives to provide clients with a safe and encouraging environment.

She is actively involved in our local recovery community and has 2 years experience working with clients in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. She is experienced in providing guidance to individuals with a desire to achieve long term sobriety. Her goal at Grace Counseling is to build a strong, supportive recovery community for our Alumni and to be a source of hope and encouragement.
Javana Moss

Javana earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. She has 7 years’ experience working with clients who suffer from various emotional and psychological issues including depression, anxiety, mood disorders and more. Javana specializes in working with children ages 3 years to 12 years who are experiencing behavioral and/or emotional problems in school or their home environments, utilizing Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy. She additionally enjoys working with teenagers who have difficulty respecting authority figures and adults, struggle in school due to behavioral problems, or have come into contact with peer pressure, bullying, or substance abuse. Javana aids clients in adjusting to significant life events and helps children and adolescents develop coping and anger management skills. Although she thoroughly enjoys working with troubled youth, Javana additionally provides counseling to adults needing assistance getting back on track personally or professionally and couples experiencing challenges in their relationship. She primarily utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic Approach but recognizes the need for applying a customized approach to each individual.

Over the years, Kari has worked with individuals, couples, and families in order to get to the core of their primary issues to bring more happiness and satisfaction into their lives.

Stasha Kucel, MS, RDN, LD is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University's Dietetic Internship, she received a Master of Science in Nutrition. Stasha has discovered a particular interest in nutrition as it relates to mood, recovery, and brain health and firmly believes in the healing power of combining a whole food diet with intuitive eating. Stasha has 7 years of experience working with clients in recovery from addiction and eating disorders. She provides nutrition counseling for general wellness, common medical conditions, and to help clients normalize eating behaviors. Stasha strives to help clients achieve a nutrient-rich balanced diet and choose supplements which optimize each individual's health.

Kevin earned his Masters of Education from the University of North Texas in 2000, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2009 while living in Colorado. Upon returning to his home state, Kevin acquired his Texas LPC in 2012. Kevin brings with him 13 years of experience in the counseling profession, working with all populations while specializing in Men’s Issues. As he continued to develop an understanding of mental health disorders, Kevin saw an opportunity to develop a program which now acts as the cornerstone of his therapeutic approach. Kevin's "Accountability Curriculum" integrates Adlerian Theory with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and provides his clients with the tools needed to live healthier and more adaptive lives. “I believe that everyone has the capability to resolve their own issues; they simply need some help gaining perspective or learning about alternative solutions. We all make mistakes and nobody is perfect. Let’s face it, life is messy and sometimes we lose our way in the chaos. My role is to help clear the air so the client can see their path more clearly.”

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas and has practiced as a therapist for over 9 years. I have 15 years of experience in Human Services and the behavioral health field. Trust and respect in a non-judgemental environment gives her clients the opportunity to be listened to, validated, and supported in whatever problems they are experiencing. Her own personal and professional journey inspired her to become a therapist because she has a passion for helping people find solutions and hope.

Rebecca Walker LCSW is a board-certified clinical social worker who specializes in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, and other life issues. Her diverse background working in a wide variety of settings, including in-patient psychiatric hospitals, rehab facilities, home health, hospice, and long term care, has molded her in all aspects of becoming a caring therapist. Her experience gives her a unique understanding of the challenges each client is facing. She especially loves treating individuals in their home environment because it enables her to further develop a trusting relationship with the clients and their families.

Saher is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC-Intern, LPC-Intern - Supervised by Cheryl Rayl LPC-S). She recently graduated from Capella University, a CACREP accredited program, with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Classes in Child and Adolescent Counseling, Theories of Psychotherapy, Marriage and Family Counseling, Addictions Counseling and several more relevant topics have prepared Saher to pursue her passion of providing holistic care for her clients. Saher also completed a nine-month practicum at Grace Counseling Center, seeing individual clients and co-facilitating the substance abuse Intensive Outpatient Program groups. Saher earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2009 from Mississippi State University, as well as, an Associate of Arts degree in American Sign Language Interpreter Technology. Saher practices from an Existential Framework incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy Techniques. Saher is passionate about working with minority communities and bridging the cultural gap for first and second-generation immigrants. Saher believes in order to be fully nurtured and content, individuals must address all mental, physical and spiritual aspects of their personal and professional lives.
