Mental Health

When we first started Grace Counseling, improving mental health through counseling therapy was the only service we offered. Since then, we’ve expanded our service offerings but our heart is still rooted in counseling. Whatever stage in life you are in or whatever your mental health needs are, there is a counselor here to help. From individual therapy for yourself to play therapy for your child, there’s something here for everyone who is in need. All of our counselors are Master’s Level or above Licensed Counselors

Individual Therapy

If you need support through a challenging phase in your life, individual counseling might be the right solution for you. It can help you deal with many personal issues like anxiety, depression, anger, or unique life challenges. We have many skilled counselors who will patiently walk you through whatever it is you are going through.

Couples Therapy

When you are experiencing difficulty in a romantic relationship, sometimes its best to bring in a non-biased third party to help you talk things through in a productive way. Whatever challenges you are facing with your significant other, the best approach is to talk through them in a safe environment for both of you.

Family Therapy

Similar to couples therapy, when you are having challenges with multiple people whom you call family, the best way to come to a peaceful resolution is a non-biased third party. Our counselors are experts at identifying the communication breakdown and helping loved ones to better understand each other.

Group Therapy

For when you want to be a part of a collection of people in a similar situation as you, group therapy can be a helpful environment for you to grow. In a group, there is less focus on the individual and provides a safe environment for you to share and experiment. That bond formed within the group is unique to this style of therapy.

EMDR

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a psychotherapy treatment created to help people with a history of trauma. These counselor-led exercises are designed to create new associations between traumatic memories and more adaptive information. EMDR is only for those with extreme cases of trauma.

Play Therapy

Primarily used with children, play therapy encourages children to explore events that might have an effect on their current situation. Play therapy primarily helps create a safe and comfortable environment. It helps children to navigate repressed emotions, communicate more effectively, and experience healing and meaningful growth.

Women's Issues IOP

This Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to help women who have experienced trauma, abuse, and abandonment. These group counseling sessions are designed to give you support while you develop coping mechanisms in a safe environment.
